Since the inception of The Lebanese in North Carolina Project in October 2010, we have been so proud to work with the Lebanese-American community in NC and in other areas to bring the rich history and culture of immigrants to a wide audience. With your help, we have:
- Produced a full-length documentary that aired on NC PBS’ UNC-TV last year.
- Curated and maintain an interactive digital library that features photos, documents, videos and audio clips of the community.
- Collaborated with NC educators to develop a curriculum for K-12 students in Wake County with a mission of teaching them about Lebanese-American history.
And all of this in 3 years! See, we have a lot to be proud of!
These days, we are working hard to complete the museum exhibition set to unveil at the North Carolina Museum of History in 2014. We are working with curators, social media experts, teachers, technicians, graphic designers, writers and more to ensure that this exhibition showcases the materials and stories generously donated by the community.
At this point in our work, we need your help. Please donate to the exhibition. Now is the time!
The Project constantly strives to uphold the strong history of the community. And we thank you so much for your support over the years.
Help us reach our goal today!
