We are excited to be working with the Tar Heel Junior Historian, a magazine geared towards young adults, filled with articles and fun facts about history and culture of the Tar Heel State. Published by North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources, our article features the story of Moses George, the patriarch who helped start Alex and Lee Distribution and later Lowes Foods in Hickory.
We are in our final edits for the Spring Issue, due out soon. We’ll let you know when it’s ready for view.
In the meantime, Tar Heel Junior Historian has been around since 1961, so there’s a lot of back issues to catch up on. Check it out!
