The College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Khayrallah Center for Lebanese Diaspora Studies welcome U.S. Rep. Donna Shalala (D-FL) to NC State, where she will deliver a public talk about higher education in America. Shalala, who is of Lebanese descent, served as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Bill Clinton. She was president of the University of Miami in Coral Gables from 2001 through 2015.
